At the heart of the experience is the art of making authentic pesto Genovese. Using a traditional marble mortar and pestle, you will work with the finest ingredients: fresh Genovese DOP basil, pine nuts, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, salt, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Pecorino. Guided step by step, you will take part in a fun and engaging challenge to create the most flavorful and well-balanced pesto.
With a bit of technique, a touch of practice, and the expert guidance of food storyteller Fabio Bongiorni, you will enjoy a hands-on experience that is perfect for couples, friends, or small groups.
The experience begins with a welcome toast featuring a glass of Ligurian Vermentino, setting the tone for a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. After preparing your pesto, you will taste it paired with artisanal trofie pasta, the traditional match for this iconic sauce.
To complete the experience, you will enjoy a delicious aperitivo with focaccia and a selection of typical bruschette, followed by an authentic Italian espresso to end on a perfect note.
